The company has completed numerous projects from providing operations and management advice to complete contract claims preparation, including litigation support. A listing of selected projects which provides insight into our experience working on behalf of a range of industrial clients follows:

 

l      The contractor had experienced increased costs and delays due to owner and other subcontractor responsible changes and delays associated with the design and supply of a fiber-optic network for the New York City subway system. The approximate claim value was $10 million. Contralytics was engaged to provide an independent assessment of the obligations of the parties with respect to performance of work and contractual requirements. Tasks included budget performance evaluation, analysis of contract requirements, constructive change evaluation, formal change evaluation, detailed critical path schedule analyses, assessment of disruption and inefficiency, and settlement and claim avoidance recommendations, including risk exposure and estimated settlement costs.

 

l      Retained by a high-tech optics contractor to analyze and evaluate claims and counter claims by and against a major aircraft modification contractor. The contract involved the manufacture and installation of advanced airborne photo reconnaissance systems.

 

l      A construction specialty contractor providing an installed security system to the Army Corps of Engineers for a new U.S. Government Mint in Texas was experiencing cost overruns and delays associated with changed and added work in excess of the contract requirements . The contractor engaged Contralytics to assist in the development of a schedule delay Request for Equitable Adjustment (REA) valued at $600,000. Prepared critical path schedule and manpower analyses, including development of as-planned, as-built, and as-properly adjusted networks and schedules; acceleration analyses; and settlement recommendations involving risk exposure and estimated settlement costs.

 

l      Engaged by an international construction company to assist in settlement of a dispute under a contract for the supply and installation of a Computerized Traffic Responsive Traffic Control System for the city of Pittsburgh. Tasks included preparation of an REA proposal which contained analyses related to schedule delay, loss of efficiency, and constructive changes. The claim value was approximately $500,000.

 

l      Engaged by an Electric Utility company and Law Firm to analyze the prudence of construction costs and assist in the negotiation/litigation of the utility’s case to support its rate increase.

 

l      Engaged by an international construction company to assist in settlement of disputes under two contracts for the supply and installation of Traffic Detection Systems for the Maryland Department of Transportation. Tasks included preparation of an REA proposal which contained analyses related to schedule delay, loss of efficiency, and constructive changes. The claim value was approximately $3 million.

 

l      Engaged by an international construction company to assist in settlement of disputes under a contract for the supply and installation of the U.S. Air Force Academy base distribution system. Tasks included preparation of an REA proposal which contained analyses related to schedule delay, loss of efficiency, and constructive changes.

 

l      Engaged by an Electric Utility company to analyze the cost and schedule impact of subcontractor responsible events related to design and construction of the River Bend Nuclear power plant. Estimated claim value in excess of $75 million.
